Our Story
Our Roots: The Master Weaver’s Legacy
Our story doesn’t begin in a modern office; it starts at the loom. In the 1970s, our grandfather was a master weaver of pure Banarasi sarees. For decades, his meticulous craftsmanship supplied some of the biggest wholesale brands in Varanasi. He poured his life into the art of weaving, building a legacy of quality and tradition. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, that original business faced a steep decline, forcing our family to step away from the trade we loved.
The Rebuilding: The Birth of Nim Creation
But artistry is in our blood, and you cannot keep a good legacy down. In 2015, my father laid the foundation for our family’s comeback by establishing Nim Creation. This company was built to be our new operational anchor—a way to revive our family's connection to the textile world.
In 2019, driven by a need to support my family through difficult financial times, I joined Nim Creation before even finishing my studies. We initially focused on B2B (business-to-business) wholesale. While things started well, we soon faced a harsh reality: several clients defaulted on their commitments. In an instant, two years of my income, time, hard work, and confidence were wiped out.
The Pivot: Introducing Ismaily Arts
That devastating loss became our greatest turning point. I realized that keeping our heritage locked behind unreliable middlemen was holding us back. To truly honor our grandfather’s legacy and protect our hard work, we needed to speak directly to the people who actually wear and appreciate our craft.
That is how Ismaily Arts was born.

Today, Ismaily Arts is our proud, direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand, operating entirely under the umbrella of our parent company, Nim Creation.
